- Excellent time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of standard packing and shipping procedures.
- Basic shop skills, including using hand tools.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to work with other team members.
- Meet daily packing targets and standards.
· Data entry into WMS / shipping software, experience required.
· Comply with Safety & Quality regulations and policies.
· Available to work OT and weekends when business requires.
- Check all customer orders for accuracy
· Pack, label, and prepare products for shipment.
· Ensure items are not damaged during the packing process, maintain cleanliness of the working area, and adhere to safety regulations.
- Read and interpret packing orders and lists to determine packing requirements.
- Inspect items for damage and report any discrepancies and prepare goods for shipment.
- Pack, label and seal items in accordance with company procedures.
- Attach shipping labels on packed cartons.
- Gather preassembled or assemble containers, wooden containers, or cardboard together.
- Place items into containers using fillers, spacers and protective padding.
- Screw covers on containers and wooden crates, using a strapping machine.
- Examine outgoing shipments and make sure they conform with specifications.
- May be assigned according to area of specialization, such as domestic or export shipments.
- Ability to interpret packing slips.
- Ability to fill out forms and accompanying paperwork.
