Core Responsibilities
- Support ongoing product development in a timely manner
- Ensure product development meets all applicable standards
- Collaborate with mechanical design team as needed.
- Translate management priorities into design specifications and requirements for the engineers.
- Delegate incoming change requests based on management priorities (customer, internal, subsidiary, etc)
- Manage internal design reviews and participate in design reviews with customers if needed.
- Ensure the final output of machine designs is functional, cost-effective, and meets customer requirements.
Requirements
- Have an innate understanding of mechanical systems
- Have a passion for designing and developing products/machinery
- Be able to design, prototype, and evaluate your ideas
- Work collaboratively and effectively with manufacturing engineers and shop floor personnel
- Be able to effectively communicate your ideas to a broad audience of varying technical ability
- Create action from ambiguity and drive to solutions in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Be proficient in Creo or equivalent CAD system
- Be effective at creating 2D drawings and have a working knowledge of general tolerancing practices and GD&T
- Be proficient in Windchill or equivalent PDM system
- Be strategic in BOM structure planning and organization
- Be effective in assessing and estimating product/component costs
- Strive to learn new things on a daily basis
- Have a degree in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Have 3+ years equivalent work experience
Other Employment Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, work visa sponsorship will not be provided
- Travel Required
