Duties/Responsibilities:

  • CNC programing turning or milling to ensure final dimension met
  • Create setup sheets, tool sheets and control documentation for aerospace parts
  • Required to create drawings for projects and products being made
  • Design specialized tooling, fixtures, jigs or other devices to assist with manufactured products
  • Manage projects from start to finish
  • Required to review any Contract applicable, verify that it is complete, and relate any questions to the appropriate source
  • Responsible for verifying that all calculations and design activities have been performed and checked
  • Responsible for verifying that all files, both part and job related, relating to the job have been kept current
  • Responsible for interfacing with the customer for technical information and for notifying appropriate personnel when there are pricing or contract issues
  • Required to carry out problem solving, process improvements including cost reduction
  • Perform other duties as required to support the business

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Mastercam, Solidworks preferred
  • Understanding of aerospace materials
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints and customer design specification sheets
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Job shop background necessary, 5 years minimum
  • Capable of competently communicating with all stakeholders in the process, including but not limited to, customers, management, manufacturing, etc.
  • Must have functional understanding of the business practices and interdepartmental relationships within the organization

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
