GTS Architect

One (1) GTS architect who will be responsible to co-lead (with Collins DT GTS architect) the project team from requirements through go-live and stabilization. Extensive understanding and experience in connecting GTS to non-SAP ERPs and overall experience with SAP GTS Compliance and Customs Management including sanctioned party lists (SPL), export legal regs, import legal regs, licensing, classifications, and tariff/commodity schemes. Knowledge/understanding of legacy ERP master data, sales & distribution, and supply chain processes preferred.

Deliverables

The responsible architect will be a hands-on GTS product install subject matter and technical expert who will assist guiding the project from start to finish. This person will:

  • Co-lead the 2 contract functional analysts as well as the supporting Collins’ DT GTS and ERP teams through the stages of the project.
  • Give direction, recommend solutions, and assist with the overall design, delivery, and performance of the project.
  • Facilitate the design, technical discussions and drive the decision-making process.
  • Identify the tasks and people that are necessary to develop a design, build the plan, develop/build the solution and support execution of the plan.
  • Partner with the DT project manager (PM) and the Global Trade organization to develop detailed project plan from pre-work through hyper care.
  • Contribute to the landscape design with the Basis (or similar) and GTS teams
  • Support the test lead and testing activities (test plan/test creation) to ensure that testing validates requirements.
  • Partner with the internal GTS & SAP resources, Global Trade, and PM to develop & execute communication strategies for the project.
  • Prepare and lead requirements workshops with Global Tade subject matter experts and DT counterparts.
  • Partner with project Change Management resource and Global Trade to develop training and support for users adjusting to GTS.
  • Develop and coordinate with the Basis team (or similar) a detailed cutover timeline (RSL) to allow for conversion downtime and all the required steps to bring up the new system and interfaces.
  • Ensure alignment/adherence to release activities, timelines, processes. Meets with Release Management to coordinate transport/transition plans and takes ownership to get appropriate approvals from Change Board (and/or ERP equivalent) at time of release. Manages overall project transports to ensure all changes are accounted for and move together.
