Job Description

Creating NC programs for CNC Milling and Turning machines.

· Design machining fixtures for CNC Milling process.

· Trouble shooting / improving current machining process.

· Tooling design for CNC Milling and Turning.

Job requirement:

· Has working experience related to NC Programming. Familiar with Milling and Turning machining processes. Experience with 4/5 axis Milling or Mill/Turn machining would be a plus.

· Has working experience on using 3D CAD/CAM software. PTC/Creo or Solidworks. Familiar with Pro/NC Module would be ideal.

· Basic knowledge of using Vericut or other simulating software to verify NC programs.

· Basic knowledge of using PTC/Windchill or other PDM software.

· Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related field, associate's degree must have two more years of related working experience.

  • Provide support to implement standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department, including storing of equipment documentation, spare computer components, and system backups.
  • Applies knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine design, and components to provide technical support to troubleshoot, maintain, and modify automated and manual equipment.
  • Support root cause analysis activities to address quality non-conformances.
  • Support Capacity Expansion and Process Improvement Projects to increase yields, reduce scrap, and Improve Product Quality
  • Provide technical support to set up, trouble shoot, repair, and monitor processes & equipment.
  • Optimize existing equipment to address EHS and ergonomics concerns, address nonconformances, improve product quality, improve OEE, and improve throughput.
  • Team with manufacturing and quality personnel on a daily basis to review / disposition production defects and provides potential process and/or equipment corrective actions to assure production schedules and quality expectations are met.
  • Review manufacturing equipment and processes for improvement potential using statistical data and analysis of equipment condition then effectively manage change projects.
  • Support Process improvement projects related to existing manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare validation protocols and reports to support implementation of new equipment.
  • Support new process development, product quality improvement, and integration projects.

· Design, build, and program small assembly cells, end of arm tools, and vision equipment - Troubleshoot, repair, and modify new and existing automation, robots, and secondary equipment

· Write RFQs and select outside vendors for equipment purchases - Lead continuous improvement activities, including lean initiatives - Produce budgetary estimates for projects

· Produce 3d models and 2d drawings for fabrication

· Fabricate fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing cell equipment

· Develop, document, and implement work processes for manufacturing cells

· Participate in research and development efforts
