CNC Maintenance Mechanic performs all operations to ensure continual operation of equipment and facility with a strong emphasis on CNC service maintenance.
This is a first shift position. Hours are 6:00 AM - 3:30PM, this includes one hour of mandatory overtime at the end of shift for a required 45 hour week.
Rate - 35/hr to 40/hr
OT pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 in a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Acts as a troubleshooter and repairs equipment and building utilities.
Performs preventive maintenance with work orders on manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding and honing equipment. Responds to emergency breakdowns of equipment to keep production loss to a minimum. Inspects equipment to evaluate conditions which could lead to production breakdowns or unsafe conditions.
Details: - Take spindles and chucks out to replace - Make sure Axis are functioning properly and fix if not - Take cooling pumps apart or out and fix them - We have mostly Lathes, some mills, rotary tables, okuma, Takamaz, Tsugami, Studor, Doosan - Fanuc and Okuma controls (Tool room is conversational programming) - They need to know PLCs, Allen Bradley and Younker, Citizen - Roughly 300 machines - In the process of bringing in 3-4 new lines so lines will be shifted to accommodate that - 95% of the job is reactive v. preventative Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: 6-8 years of manufacturing experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic CNC programming Basic mathematics Blueprint reading Calibrating instruments Ability to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs
