· Uses computer assisted design/drafting (SolidWorks CAD) equipment and software to develop designs.
· Creates and revises drawings including whole system CAD assembly including site plan, building, machine, brackets, cameras, fences, detail and assembly drawings.
· Site visits with clients and consultants to conduct physical site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools.
· Prepare sketches and notes and perform electronic data collection.
· Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
· Coordinate with internal departments, as part of due diligence, to ensure viability of proposed plans.
· Create proposed site plans in graphic form (CAD) for proposed new developments, etc.
· Create conceptual 3-D models and/or renderings to convey the design intent of internal design concepts and potential leasing concepts.
· Update and maintain site plans
· Provide subject matter expertise on space and site planning guidelines, policies, and regulations to interpret, generate and analyze technical data in support of space and facility project proposals.
· Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimensions, materials to be used, relation and position of equipment components to one another, and relation of whole structure or project to facility.
· Utilizes knowledge of various machines, construction practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
· Draws finished designs from sketches.
· Sets up and maintains an organized file system for drawings.
Nice to have:
- AutoCAD or Revit drafting applications
- PTC Creo/ProEngineer CAD system with Solidworks/SolidEdge acceptable
- Adobe InDesign, Acrobat
- Sketchup or other 3d/rendering software
- Development of Construction Documents and coordination
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willingness to travel and conduct site surveys on weekends (approximately 25%)
